In short

• We never ask who you are. There are no accounts.
• We set no cookies and run no advertising or tracking scripts.
• We never store your IP address.
• Individual price reports are never shown. We publish totals and ranges only.
• We collect nothing about your body, health or goals.

Who is responsible

If you send us a price

When you use the Price Check we store:

• your coach's name or Instagram handle, as you typed it
• the price, the currency, how often you pay and any minimum commitment
• what is included, and how often you check in
• whether you would recommend the coach, if you choose to say
• the country you live in

We use this to work out what coaching costs across the market. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest, and the public's, in making coaching prices transparent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and UK GDPR).

A comparison is only ever shown once 30 coaches have a price, and a coach with many clients counts once. Figures naming a coach are not published from client reports at this stage.

Keeping out abuse

To stop one person sending hundreds of reports, we keep a scrambled fingerprint of your IP address instead of the address itself. The key that produces it changes every month, so a fingerprint cannot be turned back into an address or linked to one from another month. We also note how long the form took to fill in. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the data honest.

A bot check by Cloudflare Turnstile runs before a form is sent. Cloudflare processes technical details of your browser and connection to decide whether a person is there. We do not pass your IP address on to Cloudflare ourselves, and the check sets no advertising cookies.

If you give us your email address

Only if you ask to hear from us. We send one email with a link to confirm the address. Until you use it we do not write again, and an unconfirmed address is deleted after 14 days. Our legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time through the unsubscribe link in every email.

If you ask us to email your comparison, your address is linked to the price you sent so that we can send you the right figure. It is not linked to anything else.

If you are a coach

We may hold the following about you, without having collected it from you directly:

• your name or trading name, your website and your Instagram handle
• prices, package details and qualifications shown on your own public pages, with their source
• prices that clients have told us they pay

The sources are your own public web pages and people who are or were your clients. We do not collect anything from Instagram, Facebook or Threads, and nobody acting for us poses as a customer. Our legal basis is the legitimate interest described above. You can object, ask for a correction or have your details removed at any time using the correction and removal form. A removal also stops your details being collected again.

If you send a correction or removal request

We store your request and your email address in order to answer it, as the law requires us to (Art. 6(1)(c)). Closed requests are deleted after 12 months.

Who processes data for us

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or the UK it is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep things

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw consent you have given. Use the request form or write to hello@coachcompare.fyi. Because we do not know who sent a price report, we can only find one if you can tell us enough to identify it.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Germany, the authority of your federal state; in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office.
